Chattahoochee Bend State Park
Set to open July 2010, the state park is nearly 3000 acres with hiking, biking, and horse trails. Hit the Trail has put this page together to gather information about the park as it comes to fruition.

Please mark your calendars and join us for an organizational meeting for Chattahoochee Bend State Park’s - “Friends of the Park”.
We will meet on August 7th at 6:30 pm at the Panther Creek Community Center on Highway 16 in Sargent (beside the fire station and immediately across from Sargent Baptist Church).
This will be the first meeting and we have invited Andy Fleming, Executive Director of the Friends of Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites to facilitate. He will be bringing with him the Chapter Services Manager, Damon Kirkpatrick
If you know of anyone that would like to be included in this initial organizational meeting, please invite them. After we have the meeting, we will have an article in the Times-Herald and invite anyone interested in becoming one of the “Friends” to join the group.
